The vision of the newborn is blurred at first as his eyes see everything all at once. But within a few days, the baby starts to learn and focus to interpret his environment. He learns to pay visual attention to what is important to him: his mother’s face, and also to recognise it and give it priority.
In the same way, a baby first hears various sounds around him - some louder than others - but within a few days, he is able to progress from “hearing” to “listening”. Listening requires prioritising so as to focus on one sound at a time, the one we want to listen to because it is important to us at a particular time. For the baby, it is his mother’s comforting words…
In the same way, My Child, you need to learn to focus and fix your eyes on Me and train your ear not just to “hear”but to “listen” to My voice. Focussing your eyes on Me and listening to Me is what matures and trains your mind to shift your attention from the earthly to the spiritual realm. This training only takes place from a position of rest (like a baby!).
The spiritual realm first appears foggy, unclear or too bright to look into. But as you rest and look for me, you will begin to find Me. In the same way, you may also first hear confusing noises and voices until you learn to tune into My voice. The one that brings you comfort and peace, the voice of your Heavenly Daddy!
The first weeks of a newborn are all about a journey of discovery of his natural senses. It is a fun journey and a happy one. Oh what joy little feet can bring to a baby who’s just discovered his little
toes!
Beloved, rejoice in your journey and rest. Stop and laugh at your discoveries and enjoy every step you take, like a baby does. Do not try and rush the process, otherwise you will miss so many blessings I have for you along the way, and you may miss the guiding of My hand… and get a distorted vision of Me and My Kingdom.
John 3:3: "In reply Jesus declared, I tell you the truth, no one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again.”
Mark 10:15: “Truly I tell you, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it.”
1 Peter 2:2: “Like newborn babies, crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up in your salvation, now that you have tasted that the Lord is good.”
